Welcome to the Cyanotype Workshop by the Sea

I’m so happy to invite you to a hands-on "Introduction to Cyanotype" workshop, taking place in my cozy laboratory just a short walk from the "Akti you Iliou" (the Sun's beach) in Alimos.
Cyanotype is a magical, sun-powered photographic technique first developed in the 19th century — and still just as enchanting today. Using natural elements like sunlight, saltwater, and local flora, we’ll create beautiful blueprints that capture a unique moment in time.
No experience is needed — just curiosity and a love for creativity. Whether you're an artist, a nature lover, or simply looking for a peaceful and mindful experience by the sea, this workshop is designed to awaken your senses and connect you to the rhythm of light and nature.
We’ll work with natural materials, seawater from Alimos beach, and the Attic sun to create one-of-a-kind cyanotype prints that you can take home, lasting, poetic souvenirs of your time in Greece.
So bring your best photos (either the photos you took during our walking tours together or photos from your solitary exploration in Athens) and let's make some souvenirs that will last forever.

What we will do in the workshop:

THEORETICAL PART:
Introduction to the technique of cyanoprinting, tools, photosensitive liquids, and study of examples
LABORATORY PART:
• Preparation of your photographs on the computer
• Preparation of the papers with the photosensitive materials
• Printing on transparencies of the negative of your photographs
• Preparation of the frames and exposure to the sun
• Development of the cyanoprints and drying of the papers
• Editing of the final works and their configuration in postcards that you can take with you at the end of the workshop.

THE WORKSHOP PROGRAM:
Duration: 4 hours – 1 meeting
Cost:150€
Payment method: one-time payment at the workshop
The cost includes all materials and tools that will be used during the seminar as well as all treats (Greek coffee and dessert).
WHAT YOU WILL GET AT THE END OF THE WORKSHOP:
By completing the workshop, you will have created two original cyanotype works, where you will have captured with water from the sea of ​​Alimos, and light from the Attic sky, two snapshots from your holidays in Greece.
You will have them formatted into a postcard that you can keep as a keepsake and/or mail to someone you love.
A list of tools and an ebook will be sent electronically to all participants.
