Lana (aka Elena Galani) & the Dog (aka Ivan)
Hi! I’m Lana — museologist, published author, and licensed tour guide.
I studied Archaeology and Art History in Athens, followed by Museology in Paris and Barcelona. Since 2018, I’ve guided thousands through museums and ancient sites in English and French, always with a focus on sensory-rich, meaningful experiences.
As an INFJ (defined by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator / MBTI) and HSP (Highly Sensitive Person), I’m passionate about storytelling that touches the heart. But as much as I love my job, after the COVID era, I realised I often feel overwhelmed by big crowds and the conditions in most archaeological sites in Athens, especially during high season. For this reason, I have designed these tours to make the experience more private and easier for both the visitors and me.
I’ve published poetry, a theatrical monologue, and children’s fairy tales.
In 2023, I led the first outdoor guided tour for blind visitors at the Acropolis — a turning point that deepened my approach to multisensory exploration.
I have been experimenting with cyanotype photography since 2022 by combining old and new techniques.
Since I adopted my dog Ivan from a shelter in 2023, I find inspiration in quiet walks with him -he never fails to remind me to slow down and truly see the world.
